Abstracts of original and previously unpublished works are accepted providing that they are not under review at another conference or seminar. The Scientific Committee will conduct a peer review of all abstracts. Those extracts concerning scientific and relevant issues in any of the thematic and professional areas of work of CIT2016 will be accepted.
Abstracts can be submitted in Spanish or English. The format for submission is PDF and there is a limit of 300 words. The template is available in Microsoft Word and includes instructions concerning the format that must be used for the development of the abstracts
You must follow the instructions provided. Abstracts not conforming to them (extension, different margins, etc.) will be rejected regardless of its content. Submitting an abstract implies that, if it’s accepted, there will be at least one of the authors willing to register, attend the Congress, and present the work. Each paper must have one registration associated.
CIT 2016 uses the OCS System from UPV Editorial to manage abstracts and full papers. You must create an OCS account in order to send Abstracts and Papers. Then, the system will show the instructions on how to proceed and submit works
A selection of the reviewed papers presented at CIT2016 will be published in a special issue of Transportation Research Procedia (TRPRO), of the international publisher Elsevier. And a selection of the best papers related to transport policy subjects presented at CIT2016 will be published in a special issue of Transport Policy (TP). Papers to be published in the special issue of TP are recommended to be related to the following themes:
• Transport policies to improve economic, environmental and social sustainability.
• Policy decisions aimed at increasing transport safety and alleviate congestion.
• Transport pricing and financing.
• Transport policies intended to promote ICT to improve transport efficiency and integration among modes.
Therefore, it’s required that the works are sent in English, and it’s necessary to select the journal in the abstract. The Scientific Committee will conduct a peer review of all these papers. The selection criteria are: novelty, scientific relevance, use of appropriate methodology and clarity of exposition.
Only papers with at least one registration associated and presented in the conference will be sent for revision. Exceptionally, review of non-presented papers with associated registration might be considered, as long as it's properly justified before the CIT2016.
If you wish to apply for the Young Researcher Award, you must indicate it at the end of the abstract.
